Trip Recap

I guess it's been awhile.  Best laid plans and all that :)
Trip did not go completely as planned but it was soooooo nice to see 2 of my sisters and brother in laws and nieces and nephews.  But.  I have a horrible disease, it's genetic; passed down from my mother and possibly her mother before her.  It's called the broughtthecamerabutonlytookafewpictures disease...  Wanna see them?  Are you ready???  Oh the intense is killing me!

Picture number 1 - THE BOISE STATE PLANE!!!!!  It was at the airport but it wasn't our plane...

Picture number 2 -Kenzie & little Mindy (5)

Last but not least!
Jessica (11) Caleb (2) and Andy (6 mo)

As you can tell I didn't get the camera out at Rupps.  Should have, Kenzie had so much fun there - they have 4 girls!!!   She was in heaven; but it's part of the disease.  A few of my sisters have it too.

Overall, trip was good.  Got to see some of my wonderful family.  Had a chance to get to know my sisters and family a little better, man my nieces and nephews have changed!  (Isn't it funny how surprised we are when we see how much others children have grown???  I think I'm becoming a cheek pincher :)  )  My brother in law gave us food poisoning.  Got to see my oldest friend and her growing/glowing belly :)  Did some sister shopping. Watched my new favorite movie - Rab Ne Bana De Jodi - I loved it!  Got to show off my perfect, charming little Andy :)

It'll be even better next trip but I missed my sweet husband and my sweet Dillon so much!

I'm Leavin' On A Jet Plane...

I'm so excited.  I'm headed to Boise today.  Kenzie, Andy & I will be there for 6 days.  I can't wait.  I only wish we could add a side trip to Provo so all the siblings could be together, that will have to be another trip.  But if anyone wants to send some diapers to Sherry - she is going to REALLY NEED them in the next months!!!  Sherry's three babies (as my kids call them) are going to be here so soon!!! :)  If you want to be a really be a saint, she is having 2 boys and 1 girl and we'll be putting together a care package for her while we are there.
 That's Sherry & I...
Oh I love my family!!!!!

All Because of the Whistle :)

Kenzie ballet teacher called to cancel class today because she has the flu, so I had to explain to Kenzie what the flu is.   Dillon always wants a recap of the days events when he gets home from school.

Kenzie - (telling Dillon about her day) Ballet was canceled today because my teacher had a whistle!

Dillon - Huh?

Me (laughing) - A What?

Kenzie - (confused) A whistle?  Oh, a FLUTE!  She had a flute.

Me (laughing hysterically and unable to clarify so Kenzie started to cry.)

Dillon - (still confused) A what?

Me - the flu, she has the flu, it sounds just like flute.  Kenzie, tell Dillon what happens when you get the flu. (She calms down and tries to explain.)

Kenzie - you get really sick and have a fever and a head egg and you have eggs all over your body.  Sometimes you get areeea (diarrhea) or frow up.

I couldn't stop laughing.  Her big brown eyes were looking mighty scared when I described what her teacher had; can you picture what must have been going through her head???  Oh dear.

Mariners Fan Fest

Waiting to go into Safeco Field

Watching Michael Pineda help a little guy pitch.
Andy was/is a SAINT!!!  Seriously, If I hadn't 'borned' him I would wonder if he was a superhero, he is THE best baby!
Jason Vargas
Not the best picture but somewhere in there is Brandon League (middle, w/ a Mariners coat on, black hair)
Went to Safeco field today for Mariners FanFest.  It was great.  Tons of kids activities but also HUGE lines.  The kids had a great time and want to go back again next year :)  Next year we'll be a little more prepared...
We didn't get there in time to see Felix but we did get to see & get a signature from a new Mariner who is expected to be pretty good.  Cool.  He was nice too.  We told our friends who he was and their little 5 year old got all excited and kept yelling 'Hi Michael!' to him, he would smile and wave back.  As we were walking onto the field for our turn at bat he was walking the other direction and stopped to talk to her.  She was handed a ball (sneakily by her dad:)  ) and asked him to sign it - even though it wasn't signing time; but who can say no to a sweet little lady :)  He signed one for us too.

I love living in an area with major teams.  I've never been much into sports but being able to see them in person is so much different/way freakin' better than watching them on tv.  It's pretty exciting.

Next year:

1.  Send Brandon 3 hours early to get in the 'autographs' line.
2.  SNACKS!!!
3.  Buy season passes, so we can skip all the lines - oh I mean watch more games ;)
4.  Carry a Sharpie and ball EVERYWHERE we go!

All in all we will sleep VERY well tonight!!!

Brandon's 'Home Run.'

Curious George Hide & Seek @ the Zoo

Last summer (the day AFTER my due date with Screech) my mom and I went to try out Target toy clearance (it's also going on now, but it varies by store) I got Christmas shopping for my kids completely done.  Awesome.  Best shopping trip ever.  I found this game Curious George Hide and Seek Zoo, it was $3.24, so I thought I'd give it a try... Best purchase out of the whole lot and it was a good lot!  My kids are NUTS about this game.  It's a board game - but you know kids, by the end they get bored with board games.  Not this one!!!  There's a walkie talkie that gives you instructions and a bus you have to move and the best part, a few times every game the walkie talkie starts screeeeeching that the animals (us) have escaped from the zoo, so everyone (except for the person who's turn it is, they are the seeker) has to go hide.  It's hide and seek, in the middle of a game.  Genius. They get all their wiggles out and come back happy.  OH and there's these fancy little masks they get to put on to play hide and seek.  It's pretty dang cute!
