Fishing Time (we can't take credit for the fish - our friend caught it and let the kids carry it back to camp :) )
(Cute little finger model courtesy of our little buddy Janae:) )
More Beach Time! We were camping and went to the GREATEST beach at low tide and found so many cool things. Oysters & clams just sitting there waiting for you to eat them. SeaStars (apparently this is the 'correct' name for Starfish...) and crabs to entertain you. We even saw a jelly fish! Doesn't it make you want to come play?!?!?
Two years ago before my parents moved to Texas and I saw my brother the last time before he left on his mission, my son gave his little heart away. He was only 2 1/2 ish at the time and although I'm not sure the extent of his knowledge regarding missionary efforts, he did understand that Spencer would be going away for a long time and wouldn't have his mommy. Dillon had 2 precious items - his 'froggies,' he loved them with his heart and soul and still does. Well, whenSpencer left Dillon gave him one of his froggies and a binkie so they could take care of him while he was on his mission. The froggie left at home has been totally thrashed over the last two years and is getting sadly close to his dying day, I believe Dillon has understanding of this (possibly due to a cryptic conversation with his mother about death while she sewed the froggies head back on for the millionth time...) Froggie (and my brother) have returned with honor, he took a long flight and sometime in a mailbox but he is home (just the froggie, my brother, to my knowledge, has not spent anytime in a mailbox...)
My returned memory came on the same day, my camera, safely and lovingly packaged by my sister, Leah, and niece, Jessie, have been returned and the first picture I took was of this happy reunion :)
The other day I was trying to nap with Kenzie and Dillon was getting bored. He kept asking what he could eat and finally I told him he could eat ANYTHING he wanted (this was clearly out of desperation - I was TIRED!!!) He ran off in utter disbelief and exuberant excitement to eat - not our brand new superhero popcicles that even I was eyeing, not the fruit snacks, not my secret (not really a secret :) ) stash of chocolate, or chips, none of those junky things I keep for my disposal but rarely share with them. He made a sandwich out of sunflower seeds (with no shells) and sliced almonds :)
I know I know - don't nag me. :) BRIEF update... Business is doing well, a ton better than we expected the first year. Kids are awesome, they are the cutest weeds I've ever seen. These pictures were taken two months ago and I had tons more to put on - then I lost my brand spankin' new camera at my sisters house in Idaho... so there won't be any more pictures for awhile, I gotta save up my pennies!
This was a little 'day-cation' we went up to see the tulips, beautiful - I can't wait to have a yard!!! Then skipped over to Ana Cortes to play for a bit and had such a wonderful time, the break was much needed and well earned!
I'm sorry I don't blog anymore. I miss my dear blogging friends but our computer has been taken over by bugs (also by rats, moles, spiders, and mice...)
The other reason I'm so bummed the camera is gone is that Dillon started t-ball a little while ago, it's pretty darn cute. He's mainly into making dirt castles and sitting with his glove in his face :) Doesn't he look so little next to his coach?!?!
